|How to stop a Eco Tech Vortech MP-40 or MP-60 from melt down
I had a snail craw in to the impeller in the middle of the night to awake to a flashing
controller in overload. Before it kicked out the damage was done, The plastic shaft
broke off at the tip and welded itself to the backing plate. The magnet wobbled till it
melted the plastic on the back plate till it lock up for good. It was replace quickly under
warranty but, I needed to make a fix so this didn't happen again. I took a plastic mesh
and cut it round to match the front opening and used very small plastic zip ties to
secure it to the front. The can't get in there now.
